Yellowire + Altrego + Go Primitive + Eddy Smith

About this Event

In recent months Yellowire have had a lot to talk about. First, their unreleased track, Tonight’s The Night, somehow made it onto a YouTube advert for Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories. Which still perplexes the band to this day. Then they were asked to play alongside the likes of Kasabian at Hard Rock Calling, before The Rolling Stones invited them along to their Hyde Park extravaganza. And then there are those recent shows in Nashville, Tennessee.

Of course the latter three achievements make perfect sense. Combining great guitar work with catchy pop sensibilities, this rising troupe capture what it means to make quality music that both belongs in the live arena, but is destined to sell well on record, and entice anyone with an ear for fine songwriting and upbeat instrumentation. In short then, energy and talent abound, so the rapidly rising international following is perfectly understandable.

With that in mind it’s no surprise Yellowire have just returned home following a support to The Feeling on a tour which stopped off at cities up and down the UK, taking in the length and breadth of mainland Britain. Coupled with a forthcoming EP- the first original work we’ve had since their debut album - clearly this four piece, formed by Ol Beach back in 2010, will have a lot more conversation-starters before 2013 is out.
