Adonis Mitzelos live at Henry's Cellar Bar
About this Event
Adonis Mitzelos, a much acclaimed guitar soloist, a great performer and composer of numerous famous contemporary Greek (mostly rock) ballads, will be at Henry’s Cellar Bar for one exclusive night, to play his music, improvise on his compositions and jam with his Greek fans, as well with local musicians and audience.
On Sunday the 13th of November, during an intimate yet intense and sentimental night, we are welcoming all Greeks and locals who want to meet and greet with this wonderful artist, sing together great songs and get carried away by his guitar gig, combining jazz, blues, rebetiko, rock and ancient Greek music elements in a coherent, daring and expressive whole.
Adonis was a Termites Band member, who shaped the rock music scene back in Athens in the 70s. His PLG band album Armageddon is among the top 5 most internationally acclaimed progressive rock albums. His songs were performed by famous Greek singers such as Eleftheria Arvanitaki (Me to idio mako), Alkistis Protopsalti (Pes mou thalassa), Yannis Kotsiras (Filakas aggelos), Lavrentis Maxairitsas (Poso se thelo, flasaki), and many many more. He has presented his work at great venues worldwide in Europe, USA and Australia and is currently working on his Kitharodia Project in Athens, attracting considerable interest and participation by artists, young musicians and passionate fans alike.
