Zany alt rock outfit Asylums are probably those quiet guys in class who kept to themselves but eventually turned out to be guitar-slinging rockstars.



Their debut LP Killer Brain Waves just dropped, revealing the Southend band's driving riffs, tongue in cheek lyrics and aptly, their killer sound. Steve Lamacq loved the record so much he played it on his roundtable show, went to their gig and played another track on-air after. Now that's love.
