About this Event

On the absolute razor-edge of everything vibrant and current coming from the UK music scene, Lovedough has become over the course of the past twelve years absolute institution for urban fiends in the know. The roster of live artists that have already played this night is nothing short of world class, with Labrinth, A$AP Rocky, Delilah, Sway, Cleo Sol and Mcknasty all taking to the stage in recent months.



★★★ MS DYNAMITE ★★★

Hip hop and R&B artist Ms. Dynamite enjoyed considerable critical acclaim after her debut album, 2002's A Little Deeper, saw her switch to a more adult, soulful, socially conscious style. She is the recipient of the Mercury Music Prize, two BRIT Awards and three MOBO Awards.



►► ETTA BOND

While we’re still all super excited by Etta Bond’s “Big Girl's Vogue” Video, this young London lady is bringing her neo-soul influences to Proud! Along side Raf Riley, she released ExR’s debut EP, Emergency Room, leading with the disturbingly genius track, Boring B’s. Last year the duo opened for the Azealia Banks, Mermaid Ball at the Aquarium, and went on tour, supporting Labrinth, on his Electronic Earth Tour.

►► LIAM TAMNE

Will.i.am’s protégé Liam Tamne was the hot favourite to win this year’s series of The Voice UK. This RnB, Soul, Pop artist has already had a fantastic career so far, starring in a number of big West End productions, including Wicked, Hairspray and most recently Les Miserables.



►► KNYTRO

Firing on all cylinders straight from the get go, KNYTRO’s classic hip hop vibes and electro-soul influences have him standing head and shoulders above the pack. ‘Still Standing’ (the first taster from his debut mixtape Project Haarpoon due to drop later this year) takes a hard-line and looks to the darker more ominous side of his personality; as an opening gambit it’s unstoppable.



►► RAY JONES

In a market saturated by manufactured 'artists' and false icons, Ray's genuine love for all that is true and sincere about the music of the past is what fuels her artistic passion. A keen vinyl collector, she says that much of her songwriting inspiration comes from the record sleeves themselves, sifting through them and working from keywords that comes across while digging in the crates. It's an approach that is very much a rarity in the 21st Century and gives Ray a little more substance than her peers.



►► CALL ME UNIQUE

Call Me Unique is a singer / songwriter heavily influenced by jazz, soul and the forgotten art of jazz scat-singing. Combining these elements with modern rap, beautiful melodies and soulful, thought-provoking lyrics, delivered by a voice of breathtaking beauty over her subtle guitar arrangements, her sound truly is "unique".
