About this Event
This September, Proud Camden partners with the online lifestyle magazine It’s Rude to Stare to host a weekly band showcase and club night. Cool For Cats Records will curate the early evening programme on the second and fourth tue of the month, with live sets from forward thinking new artists.
Thurs 12th Sept will feature:
COASTAL CITIES
Coastal Cities are a young 5 piece who boast a sound fuelled by jagged funked-up guitars, 80's tinged keyboard riffs and youthful summer vibes. Their releases so far have seen them gain some impressive radio airplay, with Huw Stephens, Nick Grimshaw and Steve Lamacq, to name but a few, having spun their work.
Their new double a-side single 'Entropic/Nothing Ever Changes' is out now on Once Upon A Time Records and is available for download.
“Utterly brilliant” - The Recommender
"Better make way for a new band crush" - Nylon
“Their big sound betrays an ambition which is often quite rare in young groups” - Clash

KIT RICHARDSON
Birmingham-born pianist Kit Richardson makes complex, unashamed pop music. She has a troupe of strings, guitars and drums to bring her music to life, all tied together with her trademark “impressive falsetto” (TIMEOUT). Loud, emotional and a bit unpredictable.
“Bewilderingly diverse pop songs...Amazing.” – ARTROCKER
"A highlight of the Camden Crawl" - CAMDEN NEW JOURNAL"

YEAST
YEAST are a 3 piece lo-fi math pop band from Hertfordshire. Their songs tackle the contemporary issues surrounding bird watching, cognitive neuroscience and the difficulties of fasting. YEAST are the lovechild of Bos Angeles, The Victorian English Gentlemens Club and early Foals. This lovechild needs your attention.
