MERIDIAN DAN

Meridian Dan, AKA Lawrence London, first started MC-ing aged 10, growing up listening to genre’s such as hip-hop and reggae with childhood friends J.M.E and Big H.

During the early 90’s, Meridian Dan was a peripheral member of the ‘Meridian Crew’ - along with others such as President T, Skepta, JME, Big H, Bossman Birdie and Paper Pabs.

In 2005, Dan featured on Skepta’s track ‘Private Caller’ before he decided to take a break from music after Meridian Crew disbanded with other crew members going on to form Boy Better Know and Bloodline Family.

He returned to making music in 2010, recording songs and making pirate radio appearances with other members of Bloodline Family. But it was in 2013 where Dan really made his mark on the scene, when he recorded ‘German Whip’ featuring Big H of Bloodline and J.M.E of Boy Better Know.

After the track received major support from the likes of Charlie Sloth & Mistajam on BBC Radio 1 & 1xtra, Dan signed to PMR who gave the song a commercial release in 2014, charting at No.13 in the UK Charts.

Another highly impressive accolade for the track was Tinie Tempah, who supported the track by doing his own cover in BBC Radio 1’s live lounge.

Dan also followed this up by doing his own live lounge by covering ‘Blinded By The Lights’ by The Streets with Big H & Bossman Birdie supporting. He went to receive four MOBO award nominations and capped off a breakthrough year with the release of “One Two Drinks”.

After months of hard work in the studio Dan dropped his first material of 2015 - ‘The Bits’ which was Charlie Sloth’s record of the week and premiered as Mistajam’s ‘Inbox Fresh’ on 1Xtra.

Dan followed up this highly impressive return with the Two Inch Punch & Noah Breakfast produced record ‘In The Street’. Which has further stoked the fire of things to come with strong tastemaker support across the board from the likes of Annie Mac, Mistajam, DJ Target, Cameo and Phil Taggart to name but a few.

Teasing us with these two gems, Dan is only touching the surface with his new material and the next 12 months is set to conclude with the release of his highly anticipated debut album.

DJ OUTBREAK (Juice FM)

As a DJ, Outbreak’s sole purpose is to make you jump and shout. Not defined by genres – his DJ sets can take you through Hip Hop, Garage and Bashment to Jungle, House and Reggae.

Carving out his signature sound of mixing, cutting and scratching, he’s self-taught and grew up on a diet of DJs that included EZ, Q-Bert, Marky and Shortee Blitz.

Starting at 15 years old he became a resident DJ at Steppaz Convention, the South Coast premier D+B night back in the late 90’s. He learnt from the best and played alongside legendary guests including Hype, Darren Jay and Mickey Finn.

He went on to become weekly resident at the legendary Ministry of Sound’s flagship Friday night ‘Smoove’.

Becoming a tour DJ for the brand he played the UK’s most revered venues and regularly headed off to Ibiza to represent MOS.

In the past few years he’s DJ'd alongside the Urban A-List including Blu Cantrell, Trevor Nelson, Tim Westwood, The Mitchell Brothers, Ms Dynamite, Nore, K-Koke, Kano, Shy FX, MisterJam, The Game & G-Unit.
