Join us on Friday 6th May for a fun filled Charity Evening in support of our close friend Lauren!



With live music, raffle and quiz all hosted by the lovely Connor Pattison





Lauren Ducker is a remarkably brave and wonderful young lady.



Aged just 23, she has endured major surgery to remove a large tumour from her head in November 2015, followed by six rounds of chemotherapy with all of the horrendous side effects that entails.

Throughout all of this, Lauren has been and continues to be truly inspirational with her positivity and courage.



Everyone who knows and loves Lauren will identify with her fighting spirit and zest for life…



Lauren is fortunate to be the first young adult to be funded by the Freeman hospital, Newcastle, to go to Jacksonville, Florida, USA for Proton beam therapy – in May 2016.



Proton beam therapy is used for treating rare types of cancer in critical areas – when it is important to reduce damage to surrounding tissue as much as possible.



Lauren will be accompanied by her partner Michael, throughout her three months stay in the US; so we are raising funds to support them for this essential trip and would welcome donations to help them to be there with fewer funding worries.



A fundraising evening will be held at The Boat Club, Elvet Riverside, Durham DH1 3AF on Friday 6th May from 6:30pm



Businesses in Durham and Sedgefield have kindly donated raffle prizes for this event and we would be very grateful to receive any further prizes.
