* Act On Words freestyle rap show:

Freestyle rappers Tenchoo, Dekay, MIDI Intellect and Mr Tongue Twister bring a variety of style and musical flair to the stage but in a different way than you may think. Act On Words use random suggestions from the audience to create different musical scenes and scenarios using comical and skilful wordplay. The music is original, the energy is high, and the on the spot games (fuelled by ideas from the crowd) are always hilariously unexpected. Each show is completely unique as different ideas for characters, scenarios and words are incorporated by the rappers. Since 2013, they have performed their improvised show around the UK as well as touring with the Sadler’s Wells Theatre and Jonzi D.

* Benny Diction is a South Wales/East Midlands-raised MC/musician with well over a decade of writing lyrics, performing, organising and hosting events behind him. After moving to Liverpool in 2001, he started to rip open mics and became involved in long-running hip hop night Sunday Service. His collective The Punning Clan was formed in 2005, with close involvement from IDA UK/DMC battle champ DJ Rasp. Both solo and with crew, Benny has torn down stages at festivals and club nights across the UK and beyond supporting the likes of Teebs (Brainfeeder), Homeboy Sandman (Stones Throw), DJ Statik Selektah and Souls of Mischief, as well as making it to the 2013 End Of The Weak UK finals along the way. Benny has a string of releases to his name, the most notable being his debut album ‘Hard Graft, Arts & Crafts and Hearty Laughs’ and his 2013 ‘Life Moves’ LP. ‘Hard Graft...’ featured contributions from rising singers Liam Bailey and Eliza Shaddad along with many of Benny’s rap contemporaries, and ‘Life Moves’ was the culmination of a year and a half’s work with Melbourne production wizard Able8. It was also Benny’s debut release on heavyweight UK hip hop label Boom Bap Professionals. Expect to see a lot more from Benny in 2016, including a brand new EP with Able8, an album with South African beatmaker Blue Buttonz and some exciting collaborative projects with fellow UK wordsmiths.

* Saint Paul hails from Uxbridge, London. Starting out on pirate radio and raves, he soon developed his style and began penning tracks at an early age. Inspired by artists such as Kurt Cobain, Jimmy Hendrix, Big Pun, Nas, 2Pac, Biggie, Wiley, Durrty Doogz, Eminem, Method Man, DMX, Oasis, Bob Marley, Saint Paul is an open minded music talent that deserves your attention. His debut mixtape ‘Marmite’ was well received and was followed by the superb ‘Cathedral EP’. The response was so positive that it wasn’t long before he was sharing stages with the likes of Heartless Crew, Roll Deep, Skinnyman, Durrty Goodz and many others, as well as opening up for Akon at the infamous Hammersmith Apollo. Other shows followed at the Festival of Youth Arts, Greenford Carnival, Love Music Hate Racism, City Link Up Showcase, Slam Jam and UK Unsigned Hype and music showcase! In the last couple of years Saint Paul has been building up his fan base, working hard on his sound and getting recognition for his focused hard work ethics. Now he gears up to release his brand new single, a song that is very close to his heart and something everyone can relate to. ‘Three Magic Words’ is a song that is dedicated to his mother, someone he loves dearly and credits as his best friend. Raising him on her own as a single parent wasn’t easy and now Saint Paul shows his appreciation with this heartfelt track.
