Next up, another band totally new to Bossaphonik – on Friday 11th March we will witness K.O.G. And The Zongo Brigade!



The band are an explosive force of Afrobeat, Afro-soul and reggae music. A 9 piece whirlwind of energy, they are led by K.O.G. Of Accra, Ghana playing diverse Afro-fusion sounds. On the night they will be travelling for our dancing pleasure from Sheffield where they are based.



Last year 2015 they won a talent competition involving 6000 bands and earned themselves a set at Glastonbury's huge West Holt stage. Now a much in demand band with a fast-growing profile, they will electrify The Cellar with their fierce rhythm section, scorching horns, Afro guitars, jazzy keys and spirited vocals.

After The K.O.G. And The Zongo Brigade, resident DJ Dan Ofer will be joined by joined by guest DJs Giles Strother til 3am with all kinds of Afro-dance * Afrobeat * highlife * soukous * Latin jazz * cumbia * Latin hip hop * klezmer * Balkan Beats * Arabian fusion * electro swing * nu-jazz bizniz!
