DSHQ presents...FAINTEST IDEA with BETTER THAN NEVER, THE BALKAN WANDERERS

24/02/2016

About this Event

Alright folks! Hot on the back of the Independent Venue Week show we're back and bigger than Chris Martin's ego. Yes we've got yet another night of cracking ska and punk for your entertainment and enlightenment, so once again get your dancing shoes on and get down to the wonderful Cellar!

FAINTEST IDEA:

Veterans of the ska scene, FI combine the aggression and politics of The Filaments and Random Hand to the severely skankable beats of Reel Big Fish or Less Than Jake. Hot on the heels of this show comes a new album, so expect some new material to complement the old classics. We know and love this band, and it's a pleasure to put them on for you guys!

FFO: Random Hand, Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, tingly feelings below the belt

BETTER THAN NEVER:

Making strides in the seedy world of pop-punk, Better Than Never are on a spectacular rise in popularity with the brilliant vocals of James Harris and a well-executed sound omakes them standouts in what many would consider a stale scene.

FFO: New Found Glory, Good Charlotte, Knuckle Puck, finding that you've involuntarily started jumping to the beat

THE BALKAN WANDERERS:

East meets West. Ska-punk meets Balkan. Your jaw meets the floor. The Balkan Wanderers effortlessly mix a range of styles to create a stonking sound with ska-punk and Balkan roots, with a little Klezmer and indie thrown in because why the fuck not? Check out the album released at the tail end of last year and it will not dissapoint.

FFO: Gogol Bordello, Soviet Suprem, masterclasses in multiculturalism
