Full Line Up: Governor’s Luck, Montagues & Capulets, The Watermelons & More



For our late June show at Surya, we’re bringing you a bill of fantastic Indie from around the UK.



Topping the bill is Governor’s Luck. Governor’s Luck are a four piece Indie outfit from Essex who already have a strong following on their local scene, but are now starting to take over the capital, having already played slots at The Barfly and O2 Academy in Islington. It’s an exciting time for Governor’s Luck at the moment, having recently released their debut album, “Drop Everything” and appearing at TSOC Festival. The band have enjoyed some great reviews in their time including this little gem from CriminalChaos Promotions, “Seriously impressive band on their way to achieving great success”.



Joining us all the way from Norwich is Montagues & Capulets. This quartet play infection Indie/Pop that has bagged the band slots alongside some big names including, Dr. Feelgood, The Crookes and Exit Calm. At the beginning of the year, the band released their debut album, ‘Landscapes of Youth’ to some fantastic reviews. Outline Magazine called it ‘A Sensational debut from these young, talented fellas’ and tracks from it have already enjoyed airplay on a plethora of local and National radio stations, including BBC 6Music.



We will also be joined by The Watermelons. This quartet play super cool Indie Pop and played all over the shop last year, including a number of festival slots at Victorious Festival, Redfest and Jamie Oliver’s Big Festival and can count Tom Odell and Blur’s Alex James among their fans.
