Proud Camden and Beats Working are thrilled to announce the Godfather of Hip Hop production will be touching down in London on the 27th of May for an exceptional one-off London date. More than just a show, Pete Rock will be giving a true masterclass in DJing while showcasing the finest tracks from his illustrious career.



Pete Rock is one of the most influential artists in the history of production, ranking alongside the greatest in the game - Luminaries such as DJ Premier, J Dilla and Wu Tang’s RZA. This is the man who Dilla told, “I wanted to be like you.” Kanye once called himself the “new Pete Rock.” But the original Pete Rock remains permanently vital. From the golden era of the 90’s hip hop, the producer originally caught the attention of labels, listeners and fellow producers releasing two genre's classics: “All Souled Out” and the “Mecca and the Soul Brother” with legendary MC CL Smooth.



Through 7 LP’s and EP’s, it is impossible to measure the profound influence Pete Rock had on sampling and music production throughout the last decade. The evidence bangs in his soon to be released opus, Petestrumentals 2, the sequel to the 2001 classic that helped define the hip-hop instrumental record. What's more, In February Pete Rock announced his involvement in the forthcoming album of the one of the most respected crews in the rap game, De La Soul.
