XOVA ( Latin – Cross over – or to have the ability to effortlessly merge and fuse other genres of music together )
Do exactly what they say on the label !!
Are They Pop – well, we are told we are, but do I hear some Reggae twisted in there , Yes I’m sure you do, but is that a driving rock guitar pulsating through the tracks, hell yeah !! and that can’t be a brass section tighter than a Knats Arse !!, it most certainly is Sir !! and the Vocals, where the hell did they come from, ??? Hang on a minute is that folk music … you may well ask, in deed., so they are a bit Pop- Reggae – Soul – Rock – World -,Folk - RnB and maybe tomorrow a bit of ….?? Our philosophy is if it’s a great tunes it’s a great tune, simples !!
Xova we feel are the most and probably the first un-genrespecifc band in the world who live for their live shows and crowd and to get the one remaining question answered….why on earth aren’t this band signed !!!, but we believe ….some one in the industry is going to catch on real soon……its just a matter of time !!!
But who are they : well in this music manufactured world we live in, they are quite rare in that they are actually 7 real guys from Birmingham UK ( Wayne, Mikey, Stuart, Andy, Skins, Boot & James ) who came together from various other bands about 2 years ago , writing and singing there own songs, they play all there own instruments and have shared ups and downs all over the world trying to open doors themselves, spending every penny on getting noticed for there own talent in the there own way using there own money ( what little they have , that is !).
This aint no manufactured band…this is a truly hard working, hard playing hard hitting live band.
To many influences, from the legendary artists such as the Beatles, Bob Marley, Third World, Oasis, Blur and U2’s of this world to Speed Caravan , Paulo Nutini and most recently the Bad Shepherds and Mumford & Sons
They truly believe in live music and playing the best they can so they can connect with the audience who are coming on board thick and fast to support this power house of a band.
They put out there first album called The Pressure of Life last year on there own label via itunes and mail order and on the back of that release they were invited to perform on festivals in Poland, Lithuania, Spain, Zanzibar, Holland, Belgium and Finland.
They are now putting together a string of UK shows including a special performance at the MUSICPORT festival (Oct 22 ) to support their next campaign for the new EP that features the new video I WANNA BE FAMOUS along with 3 other tracks, Yeah Yeah Yeah, Goodbye and Whatever
Catch them live, while you have got chance as the train is rolling…….faster and faster !!!
