Junction 2 is going above and beyond to make sure the festival will go ahead!

The show must go on-line!

London’s most infamous electronic music festival, Junction 2, has decided that they won’t let COVID-19 steal all the fun this summer. This week the team behind this amazing festival have announced that they will go ahead and host a ‘one-off’ online festival. The free online festival will be accessible to the entire public and not just ticket holders. The event will also be hosted via radio on Saturday 6th June 2020, taking place from 4pm–10pm.

At first this may not seem as original as it can be, this is where Junction 2 plan to go that extra step further from the nowadays usual live DJ stream. The festival aims to create somewhat of a ‘digital getaway’ and make the festival as interactive as possible for all virtual festivalgoers. Using a three-dimensional software, viewers will be able to visualise their favourite stages they once attended.

Already this has the public buzzing, and the line-up is rumoured to be something special. Event organisers of this virtual sensation ‘LWE’, have revealed that the line-up will consist of DJ’s from this year’s event and some of the past. The likes of Seth Troxler, Four Tet and DJ Koze were on the shortlist for this year’s event and could well be making an appearance at this year’s one-off virtual motive.

Not only will Junction 2 be entertaining the public but will be at the same time raising money for a number of charities including one so close to us all being ‘The Care Workers Charity’.
