Looking at this hotel you can tell it once was something special. However, that is not the case now. This hotel has construction garbage in the front of it. The lobby is small and under decorated. The chandeliers are ugly and held together with various electrical tape and other items. The elevator is small and scary. The lights do no await you when you get off the elevator. You have to put your key card in a slot on the wall to have lights in the room. So if there are 2 people to the room and one has to leave to get something the other has to sit in the dark. The room has not been updated for well over 50 years. The carpets are filthy and cleaning probably wont help. There is a small 12 inch TV in the room. It is so small nobody wanted to watch it. But they have a sign that if you dont place the remote in a specific place you will be charged $50. There are no screens on the window, no air conditioning, and a small fan that does not oscillate. The curtains are tattered and do not move to provide privacy. There is one OLD iron for the entire floor and 2 ironing boards. There are no wash cloths and we had to use hand towels to bathe, that we had to go and get from the front desk because none were provide to us. The fixtures and furniture are falling apart. There is one cheap thin shower curtain in the bathroom. The mattresses are filthy with a cheap thin mattress cover that offers no protection. The floors of the hotels resemble a VERY old dormitory. It stinks very bad in here. This place only got a star from me because of its distance to a subway station and food.
