An excellent venue for cocktail lovers.
The staff kept smiling and were cordial from the moment we went in and took good care of us.
We were sat at a table for two which was a little too close to its neighbours to be comfortable with a private conversation. That being said, the music and general chatter does help a little, but if you're a private person make sure you ask for a table that is a little more isolated.
They have an extensive and eclectic selection of cocktails whose roots go back a century. They're not the cheapest, but they don't look or taste the cheapest either, nor is the experience cheap.
Our waitress seemed very knowledgeable and explained our cocktails both when we ordered them and when they arrived. She spoke a bit fast so it was not easy to understand her through all the background noise, but I appreciate the effort!
Overall I'm happy with the visit, though my biggest (and perhaps the only major) complaint is that it was uncomfortably hot in there; the ventilation didn't appear be the best. Unless that was some sort of temporary malfunction, I don't think I could enjoy being there on a hot summer night.
