“Griffin Promotions UK was engaged by Subtone nightclub (Artwith Ltd) during 2014/15 for the provision of promotion based services. My invoices remain unpaid and the company responsible for running Subtone at that time (Artwith Ltd) went into liquidation. Court proceedings were issued for the recovery of those invoices, but did not progress because of the liquidation. During the liquidation process I became aware that unsubstantiated allegations were made regarding the con...duct of my business by the Directors of Artwith/Subtone, Ian Underhill and Emma Brazil. It was also discovered that Ian Underhill had already set up a new company, Cannary Ltd, a month before the instruction of a liquidator for the continued trading of Subtone nightclub, despite the outstanding debts owed. Assets of the previous company were also ‘purchased’ by Cannary Ltd for the continued running of Subtone. Despite the injection of funds from the purchase of assets by the connected company, there remained insufficient funds in the business to discharge its debts. Based on my experience, I would not consider entering into any business arrangement with companies/businesses connected to either Ian Underhill or Emma Brazil.”
