Located in South bank, London Sea life aquarium is one of London’s biggest tourist attractions and hosts over 500 different species of Sea life. Opened since March 1997, the aquarium hosts over 1 million visitors each year.

My Experience:

Walking into one of London’s biggest tourist attractions I was surprised to walk on a Perspex walkway and see sharks swimming freely beneath me, this I was not entirely prepared for. What am I doing here? I should be sipping a strawberry daiquiri in Mayfair. Nevertheless, I was fascinated by different variety of sea life and it makes a change from visiting the usual busy restaurants or luxury nightlife of London. From the glow in the dark fish to the sweet little penguins to the Alligator who looked like it was preying on me the whole time, there is something there for everyone.

My favourite floor had to be the coral reef, staring at the clown fishes, reminded me of scenes from Finding Nemo, they are absolutely beautiful, dashing around the tanks. But the ultimate highlight of my day was entering the rainforest rooms and whilst I was attempting to take a picture of the exotic turtles, I noticed that they were actually mating-well at least someone got some action this weekend! Ha!
