It isn't lightly that I say this is the worst place in Kingston. In a town of clubs that aspire to be rated average, the Hippodrome is sadly lacking. The bar staff try as hard as possible to be as unfriendly and unwelcoming as the door staff, but haven't got the same amount of practice, so you almost pity them as they pour you a terrible pint of something you don't really want.

Then there's the DJ, if you can call managing a Spotify playlist 'DJing', I struggled to find this justification, as many others do. Though you can comfort yourselves with the fact that you can send a text for a pound, a mere fraction of the average drink cost, and it will eventually appear on a large screen by the dance floor.

The club strives to be British, so if you made the mistake of leaving an item in the cloakroom, be prepared to learn the art of queueing as you wait an amount if time longer than you spent in the club enjoying the dubious pleasures.

Tldr; It's quite bad.
