London Communion - September

01/09/2019

About this Event

Our monthly Communion Clubnight is back for its September instalment after a short summer break! Join us at Notting Hill Arts Club on September 1st to catch our brilliant line-up:

Edie Bens

Independent Brighton based, Welsh singer/songwriter, Edie Bens combines folk and country influences with hearty pop melodies. Make sure to come down early to catch her set!

Zola Courtney

20 Year-old British artist Zola Courtney from the West-Coast of the UK will be releasing her debut EP ‘Nothing To Lose’ later this year. Her rich voice and organic soulful style is credited from the artists she grew up listening to, with influences ranging from Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin to Lianne La Havas and Anderson Paak.

Eve Owen

Newcomer 19-year old Eve Owen has already had a rocket start to her career, having been taken under the wings of The National, featuring on their track ’Where Is Her Head’ on their latest album, as well has having had her join them out on tour. Definitely one to keep an eye on.

CHARLOTTE

“CHARLOTTE” may sound ordinary, but she’s far from it. A 21-year-old from Hull, England redefines the meaning of soul music with her own modern, accessible twist. In 2018, she began to construct her first project 'Nowhere to Hide,' working with world renowned producers Toby Gad, and The Orphanage (Kehlani, Alessia Cara, Demi Lovato). The EP reflects on the painful journey of adolescence with brutal honesty and heart-rending beauty, along with battles of self-confidence and unrequited love.

Suns Up

If shimmering, guitar-driven pop is your thing, then this rising indie four-piece from Sussex will be right up your street. With a sound as summerly as their band name, Suns Up has already won over the likes of BBC Introducing and Clash Music and their latest single ‘Do What You Feel Like’ has got us craving more.

Superego

Midlands four-piece Superego debuted on the scene with their critically acclaimed single ‘Sleep’ last year, and have since taken their alt-rock goodness on the road supporting bands like Black Honey, The Big Moon and Pale Waves. Come on down and watch them perform an explosive headline set at our September Clubnight!
