It’s coming home… to Liverpool
The Euros couldn’t have arrived at a better time really. Restrictions are easing, the weather is finally perking up, and best of all – it’s been five years since the last one! You can feel everyone raring to go – any excuse to get pissed and throw up over your best mates’ new shoes, amirite?
Liverpool is the perfect city to catch the footie in this summer. After all, it has a long history with the beautiful game, and it’s no secret that Liverpudlian football fanatics are the most devoted and the most hectic. See below for some of our top picks!
1. Camp and Furnace
Camp & Furnace is going all out this year. They’ll be showing all of England’s matches on the big screen. They have said that booking in advanced will be required but the bonus of that is your booking will include free drink! The possibilities are endless - you can choose from either a pint of beer or cider, a small house wine, a single house spirit and mixer, or any soft drink. New this year, they’ll be launching their own German-themed Indoor Urban Beer Garden, replete with beer, bratwurst, steins, and pretzels.

2. Bierkeller
Another bar with a distinctly German vibe, Bierkeller will be well-equipped to deal with an onslaught of footie fans with their multiple screens and projectors. Bookings are open now, so be quick! If you do manage to snag yourself a table here, you can expect cold beers, steins, and pitchers, as well as 8-pint beer towers, stein cocktails and more. They also have a great outdoor terrace to enjoy all summer long.

3. Brew Dog
Brace yourselves, BrewDog pubs are turning themselves into fan zones this summer. If you want to be surrounded by people that all love football as much as you do, this is the perfect place for you. Ideally situated in the historic Rope Walks District, this place mirrors the Liverpool vibes it is surrounded by; exciting, eclectic, and equivocal. There is also an integrated BottleDog for those wanting to buy beer to take away!

4. Phase One
Phase One is a hipster-cool, Columbian-coffee-swilling, record-playing kind of venue, but even they will be screening the footie this weekend. They’ll be celebrating the sunny weather this June by taking the top off their gazebo – finally. This is a great place to watch the Euros – not only do they have an incredible array of drink, plenty of outside space, and a huge projector to catch the action on, but tickets are also free! Be sure to snap them up quickly though.

5. PINS
PINS Social Club have managed to secure two bars this summer in prep for the Euros – their usual PINS Social Club’s bar (of course), and their new Summer in the Square pop-up at Exchange Flags. Summer in the Square will feature drinks packages including cocktails, sharers, draught, bottles and cans, wine, champagne, as well as soft drinks. At their Duke Street bar, all screenings will take place in Rocco’s Games Room and there will be additional screens for the England matches in their Ping Pong Room.
