Feels Like Summer
If there’s one thing that’s been getting us through the last few rainy months, it’s the promise of the sun on our faces, picnics in the park, and being able to go out without having to bring a jacket. And a blanket. And another blanket. And maybe a scarf too, just to be sure.
When the government’s roadmap was announced in mid-February, June felt like a lifetime away. After such a bleak winter, the concept of meeting friends and feeling warm was almost laughable. However, as May wears on, indoor hospitality reopens – just as the rain is beginning to stop! – and dare we say it, things are beginning to feel a bit more normal again.
There’s nothing like a brief glimpse of normal to make us feel nostalgic for the past. Even a past that was a few short years ago. We’re taking you back to summer ’18 when the World Cup was on and the weather was hot and covid wasn’t even a thing and we had not a care in the world. I remember starting the night at 10pm (gasp!), running through London to catch the night bus to Shoreditch, and staying over at my friends on a whim, without having to worry about the rule-of-six.

Those are the kind of vibes that Childish Gambino is rocking in ‘Feels like Summer’. This song is soooo chill. It’s the kind of song that reminds you of better times, even when it first released, all the way back in September 2018. We can’t wait to get that summer feeling again!
We'll be blasting this on as loud as it can go on 21st June.
