Music Sounds Better With You

Over the past year, we have all had to come together to support each other in these difficult times. Unfortunately, we’ve had to do so at a distance (two metres, to be precise).

Festivals have been cancelled, gigs postponed, and club nights put off indefinitely. Zoom calls are a great way to keep in touch with your mates, but it doesn’t compare to the feeling of being all together in a greasy branch of Maccie’s at 3am after a great night.

We don’t know about you, but here at Licklist we have a serious case of FOMO. The things we do at home now are the things that we used to do all together, whether that be a pub quiz, house party, or even just a boozy afternoon in a beer garden.

When Stardust first sung ‘Music Sounds Better With You’ we had no idea what they really meant! We never could have predicted that one day our friends would seem so far away, even though they’re just down the road…

Music really does sound better with you guys! (*cry*)

Music comes into its own when blasted at ridiculous volumes, to a room full of people living their best lives. Luckily, things are opening up again and for the first time in almost a year, we can finally start to look forward to doing just that. We know we’ll appreciate it so much more now that we’ve had a year without it.

So, what have you guys been playing to yourselves on your daily walk that you can’t wait to show your mates at pre’s? Do you have a song that you will be screaming out for the DJ to play on the 21st June?

We can’t wait to start listening to all the music we have been blasting in our bedrooms to our audience of one (*another quick cry*), in a sweaty room with all the people who love to dance as much as us.
