Electric Picnic
Don’t be down about summer’s transition into autumn! There’s plenty to look forward to, including the hottest picnic of the season — it’s going on between 1-3 September at Stradbally Hall in County Laois, Ireland, and we’ll be sure not to pass it by!
Artist A to Z
The Picnic’s hosting some classic headliners, beginning with The XX on Friday, moving to A Tribe Called Quest on Saturday, and finishing off with Duran Duran on Sunday. We’ve also got a host of incredible acts throughout the weekend, including Interpol, London Grammar, and the moody sounds of Father John Misty. Back on the Chain Gang? The Pretenders are making an appearance! Hit up the Picnic for Soulwax, Rag’n’Bone Man, Krept & Konan, Kiasmos, and Perfume Genius ... plus many more!
Tour de Picnic
Ready to prove your Lance Armstrong credentials? The Tour is an annual cycle and run to the Picnic, in partnership with three charities: ISPCC, The Jack & Jill Foundation, and Headway. It’s sold out for this year, but keep an eye out for next!
The Arena
Giant gramophone? Goat mountain? Washing machine maze? These are only a few of the weird and wonderful creations debuted at the Picnic. There’s also a comedy tent, where you can laugh the night away; Global Green, the discussion- and performance-centric corner of the fest; and the Greencrafts village, where you can discover your own artistic side. Hit up Mindfield spoken-word arena for a taste of speech and debate, the Theatre of Food for self-proclaimed ‘food heroes’ — good enough for us, right? — and, for Cirque de Soleil antics, swing by Fossett’s Circus.
Tickets
Guests can choose from a smorgasbord of ticket options, from Family Weekend to Early Entry! Find more information here. The festival also offers a Loyalty Ticket Scheme to reward dedicated Picnickers! If you’ve attended three or more previous festivals — and you’ve got the hard evidence to prove it — you can qualify for a special discount code and party on the cheap!
We’ve got our picnic baskets ready! Join us for a wild weekend of musical mayhem, and we’ll supply the triangle sandwiches. For more information, see: www.electricpicnic.ie
