Move over Detroit Rock City, there’s a new game in town! We hope you’ve left your May Bank Holiday free, because this is one you won’t want to miss. Join us at Liverpool’s Clarence Dock for a watery weekend!

The Music

As always, we’re looking forward to a spectacular lineup! On Thursday, we’ll see The Human League, Art of Noise, and A Certain Ratio take the stage. On Friday, we’ll be giving it up for John Cale & Guests presenting The Velvet Underground & Nico. Saturday goes wild with acts including Metronomy, The Kills, and Slaves. Sunday calls up The Kooks, The Cribs, and White Lies.

And, of course, there will be many more!

Arts and Crafts

Seeking artistic inspiration? Look no further! The City’s hosting a miraculous number of artistic groups and activities to keep your creative cogs turning all weekend. Let’s see what we’ve got in store ...

Local performance group Kazimier will be debuting some brand-new material, featuring mechanics, sound and light. (We’re sold so far!) Edge Hill University will offer their musically talented students the chance to take the stage with their ‘Ten Sound City Saturdays’ programme. Live the dream, kids! Drumming group Katumba is bringing their brazen beats to the festival, which has got us excited. Global Local will also keep things moving with jazz and percussion. Fiesta Bombarda and will be whipping up a festival atmosphere, so get ready for a displaced Notting Hill vibe. Renowned culture club Brazilica will compound this, with their dedication to festivals upholding Brazil’s beautiful traditions.

We’ve also got the scintillating-sounding Tim Peaks Diner, consisting of a luscious lineup and conversation with alt-rock icon Tim Burgess; the straightforward Unusual Art Sourcing Company and Arts Tent; the gargantuanly gifted Continental Drifts; and the Cirque de Soleil-slash-burlesque Martini Lounge.
