Christmas Parties with a difference
Sure Christmas is an exciting time of the year, with 74393 million minutes worth of Christmas adverts, festive lights, an extortionate amount of turkey, and of course, presents. But aren’t we all bored of the same Christmas parties? You don’t have to settle for a basic hall or the same venue every year to celebrate. How about some more unique venues instead!
TROXY
Starting off with The Troxy, an award winning venue in East London renowned for it’s unusual taste, steering away from traditional themes. This year they are collaborating with global acclaimed club nights such as Guilty Pleasures, Ultimate Power, and Sink the Pink.
Included when you exclusively hire The Troxy, is Santa’s security, complimentary cloakroom, prosecco reception, unlimited beer, wine, and soft drinks, choice of menu, wine waiters and service staff, table decorations, concert specifications, light systems, dance floor and staging, cinema size screen, gyro mirror ball, smoke machines, and a taxi marshall service. WOW that was a mouthful. Additional services include, late night license, live band and other entertainment, upgrade drinks packages, and a photobooth. There are also no noise restrictions! Yay!
Depending on the amount of guests you have, you can choose from either 300-800 spaces for seated guests, or 500-1500 standing spaces. Prices are pretty good, costing between £70 and £99 per person.
LONDON AQUARIUM
If we’re talking ‘very’ unusual, how about the London Aquarium? Personally, this just seems like the coolest place to host a party. This Sealife Aquarium consists of a shark tank that you can walk over, and a tunnel through the Pacific Ocean, ahhh! And since the aquarium is located right beside the London Eye, they throw in a London Eye Experience as the ‘curtain raiser’ for your event. As you arrive and depart, there’s a stunning view over the Palace of Westminster.
This venue has a license until 1am, although you can extend it if you would like. You’re also welcome to have the music of your choice or your own DJ. The aquarium has their own professional kitchen, wifi, and of course furniture is provided. There is also a movable wall in the centre of the room so you can divide the room to your liking. Plus there are special lighting effects to create the perfect ‘under the sea’ atmosphere. As for space, the venue caters for smaller parties ranging from 50 guests to 500, so there’s a fair amount of space depending on your needs.
BLOOMSBURY BIG TOP
This particular venue claims to be the most unique venue in London, which may be true. Bloomsbury Big Top has combined the UK’s most creative and imaginative events developers with the latest constructive engineers to create London’s most inimitable venue. There are two structures that are available to hire, The Bloomsbury Big Top and adjoining Fountain Room marquee. There’s a choice of awesome music and food as well as themes. Located in Central London, this is the ultimate venue that can provide you with what YOU want, to ensure your party is one to remember. The capacity for standing is 1500 and for a seated dinner it’s up to a huge 900! This is the ideal location for whatever kind of event you are seeking to host, whether its for a large corporate party or just for friends and family. Prices start from £85 per person.
