Snowboxx 2016

Huge après stage, 4 main stages, tropical pool parties and insane slopes. If this hasn’t made your eyes widen, I will be shocked. On the 12-19th of March, the ultimate week up the mountains in Avoriaz, one of the most incredible Alpine ski resorts you will probably every visit, is being put together with Snowboxx to create a town within a town. This means easy access to the slopes, easy access to the festival and if you put those together, it means an insane holiday.

Now the line up is still being edited, with acts being added all the time, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled and follow them on social media if you want to be persuaded to go even more. Right now the line up is strong and includes British producer duo Sigma, imagine standing on a mountain with your best mates around you, beer in one hand and the other in the air and dancing along to “nobody to Love”, that really would be magical.

Also joining the festival across the four stages is Blonde, Mike Skinner, Stormzy, Monki and Friends. Last year saw Jungle and Eton Messy and it looked sick so I can tell you, you can put your trust in Snowboxx to provide you with the best music around.

The prices are not at all what you’d think they’d be. Packages start from £335 and include flights, transfer, accommodation, lift past and festival wristband. Considering a festival wristband can cost a few hundred pounds, this is definitely value for money. If you need the kit, renting prices start from £59 and they’re also offering lessons (singles for £25) if you’ve never skied before or you just need a reminder of all the do’s and don’ts.

Now, onto the important prices. The drinks. A beer is €3, yep €3. A bottle of wine to share on your chalet balcony watching the sunset is €12 and a 1 course dinner can be between €12 and €14. This holiday will really not break your bank balance.

If you have a spare bit of cash in your bank after Christmas bonuses, you could always splash out on Snowboxxs’ luxury apartments. L’Amara is a 5* residence and ticks all the boxes- apartments, pool, surroundings. There’s a spa if you fancy a relaxing night in and it’s only a 5-minute walk to the main club- winning. Or try Atria- Corzats, which are 4* apartments with a sauna and steam room, games centre and are modern, luxurious apartments.

Did I mention Avoriaz sits in Les Portes du Soleil- the biggest ski area in the world, spanning 650km of runs across 15 resorts and two countries? How perfect does that sound. Amazing snow, with light evening perfect for Apres!
