Rise Festival 2015

It’s very possible that you love everything that Ibiza has to offer except for the climate. It’s not exactly fun trudging from your hotel only to be bathed in sweat upon arrival. What if you could trade the chinos and polo shirt for some winter gear and a set of skis? Well thanks to Rise Festival and Ibiza Rocks putting their heads together this Christmas could be all those things and more.

Taking place in France’s ski resort Les Deux Alpes, Rise Festival will take over the mountainside for 7 days between 12th and 19th December with an unbelievable amount of things to do.

First off there’s the music, which thanks to the boys and girls at Rise and Ibiza Rocks is not to missed. Spanning the Main Stage and the indoor stage (for the shivery types) winter wanderers can see headliner Sigma Live as well as So Solid Crew, Blonde, The Goldenboy and so many more. For the ravers the music doesn’t stop on the stages and Rise’s infamous parties have got you covered. Whether it’s Clubland on the Mountain, The Impossible Beach Party or the Ice Disco festivalgoer’s will be well catered for right until sunrise.

The music is just the tip of the iceberg (sorry), so why not pop the snowshoes on and explore the mountain.  The artists out there can test their skills in the snow sculpture competitions whilst the more mischievous of you battle it out in the snowmageddon arena. Flustered or elated why not pop over to the memory pods for a quick snap to capture the moment before heading to the Pano bar for the fantastic alpine vistas and a little tipple to warm you up.

Now brimming with energy get yourself over to the White Stuff, honestly no pun intended. Here you’ll find a wealth of friendly strangers to share the fun and festivities and who knows, one of them may be that someone special as you climb the mountain on the Love Lift, Rise Festival’s answer to speed dating. Once at the peak why not try your hand at the ‘R’ games, competing on either skis, snowboard or sled for your chance to reign supreme?

As the sun begins its descent it’s the perfect time to head over to Rise Festival’s Christmas market for some last minute shopping to take home with you because we know you’ll still not have started. After stocking up on presents you’re going to want a rest and we don’t blame you, so sit back and relax in the Winter Wonderland; roast marshmallows over the campfire, heat up in the hot tub and then grab a hot chocolate or a mulled wine as the sun dips behind the mountains.

With the sun retreating behind the mountains and the stars filling the sky we wouldn’t blame you getting caught up in your surroundings, but it’s nice to know that once you’ve soaked up the ambience there’s still so many things left to try. Good thing you’ve got another six days to squeeze in as much as possible.
