Guetta to gear up Wireless!

Wireless Festival

Wireless - sounds a bit like an acoustic free for all at your local pub, thankfully that couldn’t be further from the truth. When July 3rd hits, Finsbury Park is the place to be to bask in the glorious summer sun, just be sure to leave your picnic basket and birdwatching binoculars at home because this festival is all about great music, great artists and a great atmosphere. Oh and maybe a few too many Pimms but lets just keep that between us.

Guess Whose Back?

So Drake has given us his word that he will be performing at this years Wireless after pulling out of last years one due to falling ill, that old chestnut eh? I'm joking, I'm sure he was actually ill, that or he just couldn’t be arsed. Kanye was his replacement, well now I can understand the outrage.  Can I just recommend some Vicks first defence, works wonders when you’ve got a touch of the sniffles. Resisting the urge to tell him to `take care` is too much. Oh I just did.

You know it’s a good line up when choosing between which day to go on is like a mother choosing between children. If your feeling Fancy like Iggy then why not just go for all three days, your bank balance may have something to say about that but we say why the hell not and seriously, we know best. Joining Drake on Friday will be the likes of Labrinth, Major Lazer, Nero and A$AP Rocky,  very tempting! Saturdays line-up includes Aviici, Kendrick Lamar, Knife Party and Jess Glynne, even more tempting! Last but by no means least is Sundays line-up featuring David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, Jessie J and Clean Bandit. Do you see my problem? Thanks heavens for the three day ticket.

No Camping Allowed

A festival without the overnight struggles did you say? You mean no passing out and face planting the concrete solid mud ridden tent floor? No smelling of rotting fish from the lack of hot water and shower access and no queuing for the stench ridden portaloos at 2am? Blimey, who knew a festival could be this fancy? Oh and you can swap the cold baked beans for a hot homemade roast, now this is my kind of festival people! This doesn't mean you have to slum it on the streets overnight though, Finsbury Park Station is nearby so getting to and from the festival is no problem. Also seeing as the festivals official partner is Newlook I guess it`d be rude not to look absolutely fabulous, this way you can grab a hot shower and catch up on your beauty sleep before doing it all over again the day after. Bad news is you've got no excuse for greasy hair and sweaty underarms. Damn.

Wireless 10

Rachel Steven's may say `There aint no party like an S Club party` and although 10 years ago I would have completely agreed and probably slapped anyone willing to argue, I now realise that's not entirely true. Wireless are putting on a special 10th Anniversary Pre Festival Bash and there's not a chicken nugget in sight, just deliciously tasty, finger licking musical goodness. To celebrate the festivals 10th birthday they are holding a one day event on June 28th, four days before the main 3 day festival. A warm up party is exactly what you need to get you in the mood, party hats and all if you wish. Drake will be headlining, alongside him performances will be given by Rita Ora, Kidd Ink and Katy B as well as a few others. Tickets are sold separately and are not included in the weekend tickets purchased for the main festival.

So go on, don’t leave yourself ticket-less, this is one summer shindig not to be missed!

Drake I'm talking to you.
