It’s also a little known fact that we also serve up some dependably delicious food, day and night.
We’re a place where you can enjoy a classic cocktail with the girls, the match with the lads or great, live music with a crowd of friendly faces any day of the week. We’re also a great spot for lunch and breakfast if you fancy some sunshine on the terrace or some free wifi with your coffee fix. If you’re going to try one of our “almost” famous burgers, note genius takes time, so be patient. The wait is worth it.
Inside, you find comfy chairs, dim lights, and quirky Penguin-classic artwork that give the space an inviting atmosphere in the former courtyard. The terrace on the top floor offers pretty, floor to ceiling views over St Luke’s and the city skyline. On sunny days, the glass roof slides back to open air and instantly you’re dining al fresco. It’s a fantastic venue for private hire too, if you’re looking.
The Prohibition period photos dotted around are a nod to the bar’s original New York roots and the American service you’ll enjoy. Some bartenders are part of the furniture, but there are always plenty of fresh faces that will come to know by name.
Fridays and Saturdays it can be five deep at the bar at times, which is part of the draw, so call ahead and save a booth. Saturday and Sunday is dedicated to Live sports all day. The weekly line-up of music can, and does, change, but we promise nothing but the good stuff. Ever.
