On 28th October, a trio of cutting edge techno artists debut at Pickle for a Halloween special. Northern Electronics' finest Varg headlines with a live performance. He's joined by an extended set from Voices From The Lake creator Neel, who plays a rare DJ set. Support comes from re:ni, one of our favourite London DJs to emerge in recent times.



Jonas Rönnberg might be the most prolific producer in techno right now. As Varg, this year alone he's released two acclaimed LPs on Northern Electronics and Childhood Industries, a pair of collaborative albums with Christian Stadsgaard and Abdulla Rashim as The Empire Line and Ulwhednar respectively, and a superb solo EP on Jealous God. That's not to mention headline gigs at Berlin Atonal, The Peacock Society, and an upcoming debut at Krakow's revered Unsound Festival. Varg is truly the man of the moment, and as a live performer, he is special, an enigmatic and unpredictable presence who rifles through his enviable back catalogue at a breakneck speed.



He's joined by Neel, one half of Voices From The Lake, and to those who know one of the finest techno DJs of the past decade. Neel is best known for his work with fellow Italian techno savant Donato Dozzy, most notably their revered live project Voices From The Lake. But Neel is more than just a Dozzy collaborator. An accomplished solo producer and utterly spectacular DJ, we have witnessed Neel blow the roof off Corsica Studios, De School and Freerotation over the past year alone. Hotly-tipped Siren collective artist re:ni lends support with an extended warmup.
