Shouts to Gatekeeper / Red 5 & Goosensei ft.NATTY D for that fully mad session 039!



These sessions have been running for almost two years now, seeing near on 200 people roll through to play their records. As we arrive at session 040, we thought we would do something different to mark the occasion, so it is with pleasure that we present to you this 100% vinyl 100% female Revinyl Session.

Bliss Zion b2b Sasha Steppa

One of the crew behind Bristol Dub Club, Bliss Zion has a strong presence as a selector and producer/vocalist on the Bristol reggae scene, and paired with partner in crime Sasha Steppa they truly are a force to be reckoned with. With gigs under their belts at Boomtown Fair and Teachings in Dub and record collections spanning the full width and breadth of Roots & Culture, (complimented by silky smooth hosting) you know they will be bringing high quality musical taste!

A-Bee

Having caught our attention when she played a killer set at Revinyl a couple of months ago, we had to get A-Bee back for this one. Her musical taste spanning UK garage, dubstep and grime, is reflected in her Function 16 events, which have seen the likes of Kromestar, Sir Spyro and Sully rolling through the quiet streets of bath. With a monthly slot on 10twenty and an increasing number of gigs, this is one to keep your eye on.

Walya

A regular face at these sessions, DJ and producer Walya has an extensive collection of some of the rarer cuts of dub infused dubstep and grime. Her taste for the darker side of the spectrum is hardly surprising considering she writes for TRUSIK and Signalfire, and alongside a regular show on 10Twenty she has recently played for the Revinyl Collective at the DEEP MEDi at Motion event. On top of this she has been the driving force behind the recently emerged Insomniac Disco. Expect prime cuts and dark wubs.

Sunun

Sunun has been creating some next level productions, and we’re looking forward to hearing how these have influenced her record collection. Mixing a love for recording strange instruments with an obsession for synthesis, everything she makes has a unique quality to it and doesn’t seem to follow any kind of genre formalities, just how we like it! Her show on Noods Radio ‘Everything Is A Drum’ showcases a range of roots reggae, heavier flavours, funk and soul, afro beat, and everything in between, so we should expect the unexpected from this one!

Hollie-may

Shambarber stylist by day, drum and bass DJ by night, we are looking forward to welcoming Hollie-May to the Revinyl family. She has been rolling with the RAWDIO crew wreaking havoc in the name of amens and double time shuffles, and will be closing down the session in a plume of smoke and 170bpm rollers!

Dutchie

Hold Tight Records resident and part of the Revinyl team, Dutchie has been a regular sight behind the decks in Bristol since landing 2 years ago. Catch her playing on the brand new Elephant’s Grave stage at Nozstock this year and keep your eyes out for new music too.
