Nathan Martin – DJ Biography



Nathan started DJ’ing some 20 years ago, taking inspiration from weekly visits to his local nightclub in Kent, Atomics, and namely – Club Class.



Inspired by some of the world’s biggest names on the dance music scene, Nathan set out to perfect his own style of DJ’ing, which would soon see him playing at intimate venues in his home town of Maidstone, Kent, and slowly gather a loyal following.



Nathan has recently come back from a small tour of the Netherlands, where he played for a number of leading outdoor festivals to crowds in excess of 10,000 people, which led onto venues in Norway (Norfest), Amsterdam, Ireland, London’s Ministry of Sound and Fire, Brighton, Manchester, Liverpool and a number of smaller venues around the UK.



To date, Nathan has held down a number of residencies all over the UK, and plays various guest spots at venues all around Britain and Europe.



Nathan’s love for house and trance is deep rooted and as such has seen him on the same line up as a number of high ranking DJ’s including Sasha, Nic Fanciulli, Paul Woolford, Michael Woods, Judge Jules, Angelic, Freemasons, Funk D’Void, Layo & Bushwacka, Danny Rampling, Carl Craig, Slam, Nick Curly and Lee Foss…. The list goes on…..



Nathan recognises change, with his sound maturing with his travels and the experience that he has gained having seen the vast musical spectrum Europe has to offer. His style is never programmed, giving Nathan the ability to adapt his set according to the venue and the crowd.



Heavily influenced by his time on the Trance scene, Nathan decided to bring this most prolific of genre’s back to his hometown of Maidstone and has since launched ‘TRANCE’ in a hope to capture the uplifting sound in venues across the UK. He is delighted to be making his Source Bar main room debut at Transmission alongside one of his own personal influences and heroes from the scene, Paul Johnson.
