If there is an ounce of truth to this fable then surely by the time the ‘Great Creator’ got back round to Monday, he simply must have had music on the mind right?

And who could blame him/her?

The Hollies, Joy Division, The Buzzcocks, The Smiths, New Order, The Chemical Brothers & Oasis have all been party to the rich vein of musical genius which has flowed from the former Industrial hotbed of North West England.

And never has this been more evident than during the mid to late eighties with the emergence of two of the City’s favourite sons; The Stone Roses & Happy Mondays. In these two bands the all too brief scene dubbed as Madchester was born, raised & cremated. Along the way creating the sort of legacies that only true maverick geniuses can maintain intact for over a quarter of a century.

The two heavyweight kings of Madchester pitted head to head, trading BAGGY BEATS, DUB BASSLINES & PSYCHEDELIC CHORUS. All in one night and with a glorious supporting cast of 80’s & 90’s Indie, Madchester tunes & Britpop.
