Absent Kelly Presents LUME + Circus 66 + Kingship Red + Chapels
About this Event
Full Line Up: LUME, Circus 66, Kingship Red, Chapels
For those about to rock, get down to Surya this November! We’re serving up a bill packed with bands from all corners of the genre to get your blood pumping and head banging.
Topping the bill is LUME. LUME are a London based trio play Alternative rock, reminiscent of Muse, with their intricate guitar lines and howling vocals. The band have been building a name for themselves in the Capital of late, after high profile slots at well known London venues The Garage, The Water Rats and the Fiddler’s Elbow and with an EP on the way, they’re sure to cement themselves in the scene.
After impressing promoters Absent Kelly at a show in the summer, Circus
66 are back. The Buckinghamshire trio play energetic, guitar driven rock, with hints of classic rock and southern blues to create something both classic yet relevant and modern. It’s been an exciting year for the band so far, with the release of their debut EP in March. Songs from this EP have secured the band some regional airplay, as well as slots on some of the Capital’s coolest stages, including the Seabright Arms and a handful of grass roots festivals throughout the summer.
Kingship Red will also be joining us. This Hertfordshire quintet play hard and heavy Prog/Metal and, despite taking a short break recently, they’re back with a vengeance! The band already has quite a name for themselves on their local scene, having played stalwart venues such as The legendary Horn, that has previously played host to big names including A, Toploader and Beans on Toast.
Also taking to the stage is Chapels. Chapels are an Essex based trio who play grungey, phsyc-ey post hardcore, atmospheric in places, then slaps you round the face with some delightfully heavy guitar work. The band released their latest EP, “Vacuum Aspiration” earlier this year and it’s been well received by fans and critics alike, with Nelipott Music Blog dubbing it as “5 addictive tracks that showcase their talent perfectly”.
