Hobbs' Angel of Death was one of the first Australian bands to play a distinctly European form of thrash metal (in the manner of bands like Kreator, Destruction and Celtic Frost). Peter Hobbs conceived the band in January 1987, recording two demo tapes with help from three members of fellow Melbourne band Nothing Sacred.

Hobbs' debut self-titled album was released in 1988 through German record label Steamhammer Records, which achieved a great deal of success in Europe. A second album, Inheritance was released in 1995 before the band split up shortly after.

In 2002 the band reformed and played a European tour including an appearance at Wacken Festival, and shows with German thrash legends Destruction and black metallers Mayhem.

Now they embark on another Euro tour with Swedish death metallers Interment in order to wreck havoc across Europe once again.

Interment, originally formed in 1990, play a filthy breed of old school Swedish death metal in a similar vein to Nihilist, Entombed, Convulse & Dismember. They released a series of demos from 1991-1994 — ‘Where Death Will Increase’, ‘Forward to the Unknown’ and ‘The Final Chapter’ that received high praise from death metal fans internationally before releasing their full length ‘Into The Crypts of Blasphemy’ in 2010, two decades after their formation. Since then the band have recorded several splits with bands such as Anatomia, Funebrarum & Tormented and still remain one of the greatest old school death metal bands in Sweden.

Interment has shared members with a host of other Swedish bands over the years including Regurgitate, Katatonia, Entombed A.D., Demonical and October Tide.

Vacivus is a Sunderland-based five-piece death metal outfit, formed in 2013 by members and ex-members of Wodensthrone, Horrified, Plague Rider and Warbastard, among many others. Since its formation, the band has shared the stage with the likes of Cruciamentum and Sheol, making a name for itself as one of the most promising acts of UK's new wave of dark, chaotic death metal. Recorded live in just one day, 'Rite of Ascension' features five vicious tracks of raw blackened death metal, dealing with the Occult, Death and Transcendence. Recommended for fans of Necros Christos, Grave Miasma and Incantation.
