Born in Nigeria to English and Jamaican parents, Jerome Sydenham moved to New York in the mid-80s to launch a career in A&R that resulted in over fifteen gold and platinum records for Atlantic and East West. Later, he founded several influential record labels, including the esteemed deep house imprint, Ibadan Records, releasing tracks with luminaries such as Kerri Chandler and Dennis Ferrer and in more recent times with artists such as The Martinez Brothers.

From this stable, he drove the melodic tech-house sound that resulted in seminal classics such as ’Sandcastles’ and ’Timbuktu’, before moving to Berlin in 2007 to the heart of a vibrant techno community. Here a musical resurrection occurred with Ostgut Ton enlisting his remix services for Len Faki’s “Rainbow Delta”, resulting in a bona fide throbbing, techno classic, before his ’Elephant’ collaboration with Danish producer Rune on Apotek rocked throughout the house and techno worlds. One of only a handful of djs respected enough to play both Panorama Bar and Berghain is a testament to the mans talents.

For this night Jerome returns to his House music roots for a night of deep grooves in the Magnet basement playing a special extended set in The Fish Tank.
