Germany host first social distancing club night

Münster throws what may be the nearby future of nightlife!

So this just happened in Germany…

Gerd Janson, Steve Stix, Kai Lorenzen and Thosten Karger were the first talents to refresh their minds on how to DJ in front of real life people. TakaTuka promoters organised their event to take place at Coconut Beach Club, the venue which usually fits 2000 partygoers in was axed down to 100, with circles drawn on the ground to demonstrate the 1.5m social distancing.

There were multiple social distancing measures put into place such as a protective screen for the DJ’s. Only half the venue was opened to allow the groups of 4 to drink in their own designated areas.

No mask, no entry.

Partygoers were made sure that they all wore a mask at all times to prevent spread of the virus. Bartenders were also protected similarly to the DJ’s with a screen separating them from the customers.

The first party wasn’t going to come in cheap now was it. Partygoers would see themselves splash $70 which did in fairness earn themselves some food from the grill. The higher price is completely understandable as it was increased in price to cover the costs produced by the safety measures.

It may not be Glastonbury we were looking forward to, but it’s a start!
