Famous for its cathedral and extremely steep hill (Google it!), Lincoln is the capital of the county and that only means one thing; it’s also the party capital of the county. Whether you’re looking for a wild night on the tiles or just want to enjoy some classic cocktails, there’s something for everyone, so here are our recommendations for some of the best nights out in Lincoln…
1. Home nightclub
With six different themed floors and a roof terrace, Home is arguably the biggest and best nightclub in Lincoln. You’ll be spoilt for choice with the music on offer; from house to R&B, 80s to live lounge, there’s something for everyone. There are offers on classic cocktails every day before midnight, so it’s the perfect place to both start and end your night, and with regular themed nights (The Greatest Showman? Yes please!) there’s never a dull evening spent. It just goes to show… there’s no place like home.
2. Quack @ The Engine Shed
Yes, this is a student night but students can bring up to two non-student guests each week, so there is a way to get in for everyone. Taking place every Wednesday in term time, this is probably the most fun-filled night out in Lincoln, with a different theme happening each week. Festival themes, underwater themes and High School Musical themes are just some examples of what you can expect. There are also regular appearances from famous faces such as Jedward, Atomic Kitten, and even Sean Kingston! And if it’s possible to get even better, drinks are also set at student friendly prices. What’s not to love?
3. The Original Bierkeller
Is there anything better than dancing on the tables? I think not. Bierkeller is the only authentic Bavarian beerhall in Lincoln and offers an amazing night with requests open to the DJ all night long, so you can always be ready to dance away to your favourite song. As well as the DJ playing all your favourite tunes, there is also the famous Oompah band to get you feeling like a true Bavarian beer drinker. There are steins aplenty, whether you’re into beer or cocktails, so it’s time to say “Ja bitte” to drinking at Bierkeller!
4. Superbull @ Moka
Are you even a student in Lincoln if you haven’t had a picture with the bull? One of the most famous nights out in Lincoln has to be Superbull. It’s been hailed as “the hero of Friday nights in Lincoln” and the “biggest, baddest, longest running student night” so you definitely don’t want to miss out. With two floors on offer you have the choice between R&B or club classics, and with three bars spread over the two floors there’s plenty of opportunities to make the most of the drinks deals and party the night away!
5. Revolution
If you like cocktails, then this is the night out for you. Yes, this is technically a bar and not a club but Revolution Lincoln has a dance floor so you can start the night off with sophisticated cocktails and then let your hair down as the night goes on. Happy hour is every day until 9pm (hell yes!) and with 2 for 1 offers on selected cocktails you literally can’t go wrong. And of course, there’s the famous flavoured shot sticks. Choose from a single shot, a six-shot stick or a ten-shot stick, the flavours will blow your mind!
