Fieldview Festival

Let your hair down this summer at the amazeballs four-day Fieldview festival in the heart of Wiltshire, Fieldview, Little Somerford, on 4th-7th August! This fabulous gem has earned the reputation of “Wiltshire’s biggest little festival raising money for good causes since 2009.” This spectacular ‘non-profit, grass roots, weekend of happiness and adventures’ event will have volunteers hosting its 10th year anniversary with the profits all going towards the beloved charities, ‘Coolearth, Temwa, and Heals.’

What’s on?

A variety of over 100 unique artists will be embracing their talent across six different stages! A few of the artists you will be partying with includes, Jake Isaac, Flamingods, Rory Butler, Alex Roberts, The Big Sets, Drogo, The Big Cheese, Pirate Joe, Sam Green, Andy Nelson, Jump the Gun, DJ Fish, DJ Dan Hill and many more.That’s not all! You can take a breather and laugh your socks off with a line-up of  the following hilarious comedians, Tim Goodings, Morgan Rees and The Death Hilarious…all hosted by the one and only Jeremy Flynn. There is something for everybody…there will also be a number of workshops carried out throughout this astounding affair! The list of workshops available for you festive goers ranges from, ‘Capoeira Acrobatics Movements, Massage Lessons, Samba, Glitter Makeup, Jewellery Making, Ukulele, Arts and Crafts, Cape Making, Flower Crown, Yoga Shak with Shak-ra beats, Heart Opening High Yoga, Clown Academy, Tai Chi, Introducing Mindfulness, Swindon Samba, Cacoa Ceremony featuring more yoga techniques, ShantiSoul Yoga, Rise and Vibe Games Area, Face Painting, 5 Valleys Circus Skills, Poetry Slam, Open Mic finale to a barbershop’…for those who left it last minute to shape up! There will also be ‘locally sourced food and drinks’ on site to keep up your appetite and keep you hydrated in the sizzling heat!

Travel & Accommodation

Why not stay over in style? The option of glamping will be accessible at the fascinating Fieldview festival so you can camp over with the festivals luxurious bell tents in a ‘boutique village’, saving you the inconvenience of putting up and down your own tent! You can live like a king or queen with comfortable ‘beds, rugs, table, mirror and lightening’ already prepared for you upon arrival. Other camping arrangements include tents or if you own a campervan you can bring it along to enjoy the action too! If that doesn’t tickle your fancy then there are numerous hotels local to the big celebration. A few to name include, Village Hotel Swindon at Greater Somerford from only £95 a night, The Close Hotel at Greater Somerford for £180 a night with a gorgeous scenery, or visit ‘Airbnb’ for the best serviced apartments at an affordable price. Commuting to the excitement is very convenient! Travel by train and jump off at the nearest station, Chippenham station, and plod onto one of the frequently run buses at Chippenham which will direct you between Great Somerford and Little Somerford…only a few minutes’ walk from the festival. Otherwise, you can take a trip by bus via the National Express or Mega Bus to Chippenham. This is the best way of travelling as if you choose to travel by car then there will be a car park charge of £5 and parking the car can be time consuming! Otherwise, go green and save money by car sharing with other individuals who wish to travel in the same direction as you, by downloading the application ‘Bla Bla Car’.
