Beginner's guide to Liverpool's Fusion
Fusion: ‘the process or result of joining two or more things together to form a single entity.’ Taking one vibrant city and bringing it together with a star studded line-up of commercial music monarchs. On the 3rd and 4th September Otterspool Promenade Liverpool will provide home to Fusion Festival 2016. Not another festival Licklist? Well this one really does deserve lordship status. Thanks to help from Capital FM, Kopparberg and McDonalds this event is one to tag your friends in.
Line-up
Considering Liverpool is well known for its exciting music scene, it’s no surprise that the line-up doesn’t disappoint. It’s by far a takeover of the modern day pop princes. Headlining is the platinum selling and Miami born ‘Jason Derulo’. He’s keeping his head down this Summer when it comes to the UK festival scene so this really is a one off treat. Joining him is Britain’s sweetheart Ollie Murs showing why he’s much better being on vocals than presenting the audiences verdict. Tine Tempah will be following them onto the stage, after releasing his single ‘not letting go’ he reached his sixth UK number one, the most by any rap artist. Teen favorite Nathan Sykes will also be jumping on board, best known for being the youngest member of boy band The Wanted he’s now gained recent solo fame with successful singles ‘over and over again’ and ‘kiss me quick.’ In case those male delights weren’t enough, also including in the line-up is Labrinth, Busted, The Vamps, Craig David, Sigma, DJ Fresh, Sigala, Fleur East and Becky Hill, looks the girls to get a turn.
Tickets
There’s a wide range of ticket options available. A general admission day ticket is just £48.50, and a full weekend £89.00. You can also get unique Gold Circle tickets from £82.50 where your get the ultimate experience just off from the stage itself. VIP tickets are from £159 and Family tickets from £150. The event is non-camping but if your coming from further a field and fancy staying over then Liverpool has hundreds of bustling hotels, you can get your festival entrance and hotel together with festicket, but your need to act fast as there’s only a couple of options left.
Need to know’s
If you’re tempted by the VIP option then this includes a private bar, fancy loos, luxury seating in the Bambu lounge and access to the gold circle where you can get up close and personal with your favorite acts. Gates will open at 12pm with acts starting at 1pm. The gates will close at 10pm. When it comes to travel, for all you daddy’s girls or mummy’s boys lucky enough to get lifts then the festival has a special designated on site drop off and pick up zone so you don’t have to walk miles. If your driving yourself then it’s best to pre-book you parking at just £8 for the day. If a coach takes your fancy then we don’t blame you, national express are helping all summer festivals this year be hassle free when it comes to getting there and back. We’re shocked that Liverpool aren’t more renowned for their Festivals, this picturesque city has so much to offer. From architecture, cobbled Victorian streets, a stunning Waterfront and celebrity clubs. There’s so much to see and do.
