This summer get really artsy, music mad and festive at the ‘SECRET GARDEN PARTY’ or ‘GARDENERS GUIDE TO THE GALAXY’ on July 21st until July 24th at Abbots Ripton, near to Huntingdon!
This special science fiction gem is definitely one to not miss out on as it has been awarded the ‘UK Festival Award for Best Small Festival’ and the ‘UK Festival Award for best Medium-sized Festival’ due to the past successful events!

Get lost on a mission in the galaxy with the likes of British science fiction writer, Arthur C Clarke, American Biochemistry Authors, Isaac Azimov and Philip K Dick, and more importantly the English Author for ‘The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy’, Douglas Adams.
As dedicated missionaries your mission is to act in an appropriate festival manner, as it says on their website… ‘Always respect nature; do not leave rubbish where you are playing. You are in a community, pitch in and help. Try to stay clean.’
We are all one community and should look out for each other… ‘Help all who are lost, and try to induce them to return home. Look after your fellow Gardeners whenever and wherever needed, you may need their help someday. Spread love. This is a serious party’
More importantly, to make sure no one ruins the fun, ‘Decide your own life, don't let another person run or rule you. Behave honourably at all times and respect the local law and officials. Do not take advantage of someone who is in a vulnerable situation. Do not allow yourself to become a stupid drunk and set a bad example for the treatment of other Gardeners.
‘Do not allow other Gardeners to harm anyone, expose all abusers to authorities. People who intentionally cause harm to others are the worst people to infest any society.’
If you follow these protocols responsibly then you will be successful in your adventurous journey!

What’s else is on?
Not only is there a massive line-up to keep your feet pumping but there will also be a wide variety of activities such as, bouncing jollification on a luscious lake with an explosive water fight or a spray full of colourful paint in a large pit, so make sure you bring a spare change of clothes in case you fall into the water or get too covered with paint! Uh oh!
You can also show off your fancy disco moves with an ultimate ‘dance off’ against fellow contestants in front of a wild crowd, or stroll around inside a big ball in ‘The Games Arena’, or bob up and down on a bubble of fun at the ‘Action Camps’ …or sit and take a breather in ‘the forum’… inside a large mellow open tent or ‘The Spiritual Playground’, which introduces a more chilled ambience.
‘The Guerilla Science’ area will be hosting top magicians boasting their top skills such as, blazing out specks of boisterous fire and educating you about the amazements of other scientific inventions. Other astonishing acts will be shown at ‘Spectacle & Ceremonies’ arena and the ‘Feast of Fools’…where you can capture thrilling fancy dress costumes or you can appreciate true art in the formation of animal statues.
That’s not all! You can sizzle away in the sun with a splash full of pleasure in a hot tub or sauna! Or, take delight with the festivals own restaurant featuring hot and cold fresh nourishments to keep up your party spirit!
