On 25th August, two bona fide techno legends descend on The Pickle Factory. Peter Van Hoesen, a near-mythical techno DJ used to selling out cavernous warehouses, plays a rare intimate headline set. He's joined by one of the founding fathers of UK techno Kirk Degiorgio, who will perform live under his revered 90s moniker As One for the very first time. Support comes from superb Manchester-based DJ Ciaran Hansen.







Belgian artist Peter Van Hoesen is rightly regarded as one of the great techno DJs of our time. Specialising in a deep, trippy, propulsive 4/4 sound, his work as a label boss of Time to Express, collaborations with fellow acclaimed artist and Pickle Factory favourite Donato Dozzy, and marathon solo sets at the likes of Labyrinth festival in Japan have earned him cult-like status amongst his fans. Ever since opening, we have wanted to book Peter - it's an honour to welcome him for his Pickle debut on 25th August.







He's joined by a truly special live performance from Kirk Degiorgio. It's hard to overstate Kirk's influence, nor how prolific his 26 year career has been. His label ART is as essential now as it was in 1991, and the level of consistency in his own productions is unmatched. Kirk has never before performed live as As One, his 90s alias responsible for seminal techno records on labels such as Likemind and B12. Until now. On 25th August, Kirk performs a live set of classic and previously unheard As One tracks from the 90s era. Expert support comes from Ciaran Hansen, Dog Eat Dog resident and a deep digger of dance records in all style, rhythms and textures.
