Sales & Business Development Manager

Licklist is an exciting social media network site integrated with a national nightclub and bar directory… We are looking for an experienced Sales & Business Development Manager to join our expanding team.

We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic, proactive and committed. You need to be highly organised, with strong sales skills. This should be complemented by your welcoming and professional manor towards clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Contacting new prospective clients and introduce the Licklist platform
  • Demonstrating and selling the Licklist platform via remote screen share presentations and face to face meetings
  • Setting up client accounts.
  • Generating sales & identifying prospective clients
  • Continually improving & strengthening our sales strategies.

Skills and knowledge (essential):

  • 3yrs (min) proven track record in sales, negotiation, building & maintaining client relations.
  • Clear communication skills & a thorough grasp of the English language (written & verbal).
  • Outstanding telephony & customer service skills.
  • Ability to identify problems, demonstrate use of initiative & implement solutions.
  • Strong eye for detail & exceptional organisational skills, striving for a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to recognise & quickly implement changing business objectives
  • Ability to work collaboratively & value differing perspectives.
  • Be proactive & able to work independently, meeting stringent deadlines.
  • Excellent work ethic & ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to shoulder responsibilities & “take ownership” of the role.
  • Computer literacy (moderate Word & Excel knowledge essential).
  • Web proficient (intermediate use & understanding of Twitter, Facebook & social media).
  • Degree educated or relevant experience gained in a high-paced environment.
  • Full UK drivers license.

Skills and knowledge (Preferable)

  • A thorough understanding of sales strategies & an aptitude to interpret instructions.
  • Experience gained within related industries.
  • Ability to improve & strengthen production & workflows.
  • An interest & understanding of changing trends, fashion & music.
  • Solid experience in delivering both operational efficiency & quality.

Salary is £25k - £30k plus very attractive and achievable commission structure.

Online Content / News Editor Internship

Locations - Newcastle, Manchester, London, South East, Home / Remote, Glasgow, Cardiff, Wales.

Licklist is a pioneering social platform integrated with a national directory of nightclubs, bars and music festivals… We are looking for an Online Content Intern to join our expanding team.

The successful candidate will be involved in writing and editing news articles, guides and reviews for the new Licklist version 2.0 desktop site and mobile app.

We are looking for a candidate who is fun, enthusiastic and has a confident personality. They have to be proactive, committed, highly organised, with strong and creative writing skills. This should be complemented by their welcoming and professional manor towards venues and general public.

This is a fantastic opportunity to embark on an essential role in the marketing and promotion of a unique social media network site.

Responsibilities include:

  • Researching, creating and uploading news content to the website
  • Attending a variety of events and venues across the country
  • Interviewing people in a range of different circumstances
  • Working closely with the news team, photographers and other members of staff
  • Being able to use relevant software ensuring news is kept up to date
  • Promoting content via Facebook, Twitter and other social media
  • Networking and developing contacts
  • Writing website and advertisement copy

Skills & Education:

  • GCSE grade B or above in English literature, media studies or alike.
  • A level or degree in English literature, journalism, media or similar (beneficial)
  • Excellent grammar and spelling skills
  • An eye for detail
  • A good imagination and visual sense
  • Capable of working to deadlines in a pressured environment.
  • Demonstrate common sense when posed with socially sensitive issues and be able to identify any potential legal ramifications.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

This 3 month internship is expenses only and 3 - 4 articles per week (flexible hours can be agreed). Reasonable expenses will be covered. Requires ability to work from home with fast broadband connection and own laptop. Successful candidates may need to be available to travel into our office for meetings.

  • Researching mediterranean clubbing destinations websites, Facebook pages and twitter feeds to find relevant info and updates
  • Ensuring the Mediterranean clubbing directory is up to date with all recently new venues
  • Ensuring that any closed venues and events are deleted from the directory
  • Making suggestions for articles for our news editors to write
  • Writing copy and descriptions for venue pages

Skills & Education:

  • GCSE grade B or above in English literature, media studies or alike.
  • Excellent grammar and spelling skills
  • Accuracy and an eye for detail
  • Good research skills
  • Capable of working to deadlines in a pressured environment.

This is a part time role working 16 hours per month and requires ability to work from home with fast broadband connection and own laptop / computer. The successful candidate will be paid £100 per month, as well as performance related bonuses. Other incentives include special access privileges at some of Licklist’s partner clubs as well as the potential of press passes at some of the UK’s most popular events.
