V Festival 2017 – The American Dream?

The season of halter neck crop tops and overpriced sandals with pom pom’s on is heading down fast. Yes, this also means the V word has been unleashed. Feeing like you’re getting too old of the festival scene, well the thing is with V Festival is it grows up with us. Always moving forward and striving for more, more of life’s fulfilling and meaningful pleasures. It’s celebrating its 22nd year by bringing the original American pop dream right to our doorstep. Branson’s delightful team at V have announced a line-up that is sure to release more endorphins than the cadbury’s launch of their new peanut butter orea bar, really.

Line-up- Bhaa, give me something different please!

Headlining this year is 2000 pop princess herself Pink! This US platinum selling artist is sure to send you down the lane of happy memories. Accompanying her is pop king and one of the richest hip hop artist in the states, yes JAY Z will be running the town of Chelmsford and Staffordshire this August. Too mature this year? We didn’t think so. This is one can’t be missed. Joining the line-up are our chart topping favourites such as Clean Bandit, Anne-Marie and Rudimental. Emeli Sande is back on the scene after her breathtaking Brit performance, following her to V is Stormzy. An act that’s gained a whole new level of respect after his burning hot collaboration with Shereen. Ibiza fans are in for a treat with Craig David taking time out from his pool party residence to accompany the above. Pete Tong is our hot pick this year, he will be adding something very special to the weekend with his exclusive Ibiza classics set. The full line-up can be found here.

Tickets- Hurry up get it over with, how much we talking?

Tickets went on sale Friday 3rd March, swear it gets earlier each year right? I guess they need to give the people what they want. For those that can’t bear to entertain the fact that bikini body time is round the corner, there’s still time to decide what option swipes you right or left. Weekend day tickets are at £89 this year, seems steep right? NO. Not for the star studded line-up we’ve been gifted with. If you can’t pick out of the Saturday or Sunday then a full weekend ticket are £165, the perfect excuse for a modern weekend away at Britain’s favourite garden party. If you’re coming from a far then the full weekend camping shabang will set you back £189.

Travel - Too much of a faff?

The most sought of way to get to V Festival is to get a lift. Too be blunt, it is. The festival have designated drop off points to avoid excess traffic congestion which mum or dad might be hot heading about, so be sure to re-assure them. Further to that there is the plain and simple driving option, car parking costs £10 a day which given the price it is to park in a local high street these days, you can’t complain too much. If public transport is your only option then don’t fear. Your be in more than safe hands with Big Green Coach, they are the largest events travel company in the UK and operate from 27 locations to and from V festival and also have the added bonus of a £10 deposit scheme to secure your seat. Train is also another option with the festival offering regular shuttle services to and from site.
